Announcements, support, discussion etc will be sent to both https://lists.owasp.org/mailman/listinfo/owasp-google-hacking and the Google Group so you don't need to subscribe to both the Google Group and lists.owasp.org.
Subscribe to lists.owasp.org if you don't want to know when commits, etc are processed by the repository.
